Our Trainers
We are so proud of the trainers we have at Errorless SDs. These people have worked so hard to get into the company and start working for us, our requirements are not light. They have gone through hours and hours of hands-on-training, book work, video courses and side-by-side work with our lead trainer. The quality of dogs these humans have learned to produce and the compassion in which they do so is outstanding.
So, welcome! Come on in and meet the team. We're all so glad you're here.

Dawn Scott (now retesting for IAABC -ADT) - Training Dogs full time for 11 years - Company Owner - Lead Trainer - Customer Support
Dawn is the founder of the company and you got to read about her journey in the "About Us" page.
She has a passion not only for Service Dog training but also the humans that she gets to interact with each day as a part of this profession. The best part about this job is the problem solving that each day brings. Nothing is ever the same even dealing with similar dogs and similar disabilities. There is always personalization that needs to come to the table and it can never be in-the-box type of thinking.
She lives at home with her six kids and doggies in every room and wouldn't want it any other way.

We are a family of 7(2 adults, 3 kids, and 2 furry kids)that live in Colorado. All of our family members are big lovers of all things furry and some of us even love the scaly and slimy! Regardless, animals are our passion and we love to work with them. We have trained and completed classes through Errorless Service Dogs LLC. Both Kriss and DJ are working on certification through the IAABC with their ADT title currently. When it comes to working with dogs our whole family is all hands on. We are a very active family who is involved in sports and various other activities that we love to bring pets too for interaction. We have in the past have had huskies and now have a golden retriever and an English Bulldog both of which we adopted into our home and have now become apart of our family too.

Alicia Greyhair - ESD Trainer
Alicia is our Phoenix, Arizona trainer. She has been involved in the dog community originally because of behaviorally difficult dogs. Her personal dogs in the past have had a range of reactivity issues, this was the catalyst to educating herself. After extensive research, hands on experience in the kennel & shelter world she has become quite the problem solver.
Her education is also expanding into her own interests of the sport dog world along side her service dog education. Not only her ever growing skillset but her own medical conditions gives Alicia a sense of compassion for other service dog handlers unlike any other!

Tara Moriarty - ESD Trainer
I got into dog training after adopting my dog Havok in 2016, who lived up to his name. He taught me all about living with and training a dog with behavioral challenges, he's also the dog that pushed me to find a kinder more therapeutic style of training. I started off my education at a police k9 facility, then started working mostly with behaviorally challenging pet dogs after graduating their program.
I had always been interested in service dogs even before I really got into dog training, so I sought out as much information about them as I could once I began training professionally. In that process I realized how much working with service dogs helped me with my health conditions, so part of my learning includes training my service dog Draak. Continuing education is one of my favorite hobbies, I've read more books, gone to more seminars, and taken more courses and webinars than I can count.
I recently earned my Family Dog Mediator certification and have my eyes on a few other certifications in the near-ish future. My other favorite hobby is dabbling in various dog sports and having fun with my dogs. I live in Charlottesville Virginia with my two dogs, Draak and Gir.

Michelle Carey - BS - CPDT-KA
Michelle (Shelly) began her animal journey horseback riding at the age of 5, before gaining her first apprenticeship in 1997 at the National Center for Therapeutic Riding. Over the past 27 years she has developed training and behavior modification plans with animals ranging from the domestic (horses, dogs, cats, rodents) to the exotic (birds, primates, elephants, lions, etc) with sanctuaries, shelters, zoos, and research institutions in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Illinois.
Michelle obtained her degree in Biology (concentrations in Zoology, Ecology & Environmental Biology, & GIS) from James Madison University, where she was a wildlife educator with the Wildlife Center of Virginia, on top of volunteering her training services for the local animal shelters, and working on scientific research teams in Mammalogy, Herpetology, Toxicology, and Ornithology. As an Ethologist, Michelle conducted field work in South Africa and Cameroon, studying apex predators and primates in the wild, and drew inspiration from that research to promote animal welfare for their counterparts in captivity when she returned stateside for work at institutions including Lincoln Park Zoo and The National Institutes of Health. Her research has been published in peer reviewed journals & presented at professional conferences like the American Society of Primatologists among others, and Michelle continues her education with regular classes, workshops, and professional conferences. After training service dogs professionally for over 10 years, the work became personal as Michelle experienced the life changing support & freedom a service dog can provide with her own Australian Shepherd partner Remy LeBeau. Michelle and Remy live in Maryland, work across the DC/MD/VA area, and enjoy going to the local weight pull sport club and doing charity cosplay events in their free time.

Katie Maranto – ESD Trainer
Hi, I’m Katie! I’ve spent many years raising and developing service dog prospects and I especially enjoy working through the foundational stages of training and helping dogs navigate the often challenging adolescent phases.
I also work with a nonprofit program that partners veterans, first responders, and community members with service and therapy dogs. Before focusing fully on service dog training, I studied equine-assisted therapy and ran an equine program at a summer camp in upstate New York.
I’ve spent the last 14 years working closely with the disabled community, which continues to shape how I approach both dogs and handlers. I’m especially passionate about helping dogs and their people build confidence through thoughtful, structured training and developing stable, environmentally sound dogs that can work reliably in real-world environments.
