Standard Poodles

Why pick a poodle?

Poodles are some of the most intelligent and fun dogs to have around. They have buckets of personality, sass and are very biddable dogs to train. The down side to a poodle is only in the hair and maintenance it requires. If you need a dog that you are less likely to be allergic to, or will be working in a place where others may have allergies, the down side of the hair goes away. Poodles tend to give off way less dander and shedding then the other two breeds we will have. They also slobber much less so the chances of an allergic reaction to a poodle is much lower. The AKC lists Poodles as playful, active, open to strangers, affectionate to family, good with young children, adaptable in public, extremely trainable with some high mental stimulation needs.

We love training standard poodles in our program because they are bouncy and fun and bound to make most handlers laugh with their antics. Poodles are a hunting breed and are very intelligent dogs. They pick up the task work with great ease most often and are a joy to train and have in the home.

We do not currently have a breeding prospect for poodles but are working towards a prospect female.
